Andre Villas Boas could face former club Tottenham as the English club is one of Zenit’s potential opponents in the Europa League, a couple of days after the Russian club was eliminated from the Champions League’s last 16 (defeat in Monaco).
Axel Witsel could also face Belgian teammates Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Nacer Chadli (Spurs) or Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg), Anthony Vanden Borre, Steven Defour, Dennis Praet (Anderlecht), Gillet (Torino) and Radja Nainggolan (Roma).
