Zenit paid tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War

Players and coaches of the blue-white-sky-blues visited and paid tribute to the Monument of the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad.

Club representatives laid flowers at the monument with a minute of silence as per the usual annual tradition of Zenit. The Monument in Victory Square is one of the main places of St. Petersburg, related to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is dedicated to the defence and break of Leningrad’s blockade and was constructed in 1975. Since then, it is a place of worship of the heroes of the war for all residents of the city.
