ZENIT LOSES LAST FRIENDLY IN SPAIN, PREPARES FOR PSV CLASH

An early goal (5′) from captain Dani Parejo was all that separated Zenit and Valencia, in the final friendly game the Blue-White-Sky blues played on Spanish ground.

“We were able to match with a team that has a very high position in Spain, and this game was the biggest test throughout all three winter camps. So from that point of view, everything is in order. The result could be different as we and “Valencia” created enough chances. But in terms of physical training, the content of the game, tactics, we worked on a high level.” coach Villas Boas stated after the match as Zenit departed immediately for St. Petersburg.

Players will enjoy a two-day break and then start trainings and final preparations for the first official away game in 2015 against PSV Eindhoven (February 19th).
