GARAY SAVES A POINT ON LAST RUSSIAN LEAGUE DAY OF THE YEAR

Amkar gave title chasers an early Christmas gift by winning CSKA Moscow 2-0 in Perm, but Ufa -luckily- half gave the gift back as Zenit fell upon an excellent keeper and an unlucky day.

Petrovsky stadium saw Villas Boas and co for the last time at home in 2015 without Garcia and Hulk at the starting 11. Zinchenko’s goal / header at the 37′ froze St. Petersburg even more with what proved to be the only chance for Ufa in the game and Zenit having an 80% possession; but no goal.

Yurchenko was not letting anything pass through, having some excellent saves in the game and with a lot of luck as Zenit was hitting the woodwork three times with Anyukov, Shatov and Danny.

Dzyuba won two penalties in six minutes with only one successfully converted from Garay and the other missed from Axel Witsel. One point was saved for Zenit in the last matchday for 2015 for the Russian League, as the team prepares for their final Champions League game in Gent.
