BELGIUM TO FACE USA IN ROUND OF 16

Belgium won (1-0) Korea Republic at their 3rd and final game of the group stage of FIFA’s World Cup.

A balanced first half took place in Sao Paulo with both Korea and Belgium losing opportunities to score but neither team managed to do so with half-time seeing the Red Devils down to ten men (Steven Defour was shown the red card).

Second half saw Origi coming in from the bench once again and it was his shot that was picked by Vertonghen to score the only goal of the game, giving the absolute 3/3 to Belgium. Axel Witsel was protected by his coach since he was booked with a yellow card against Russia.

Marc Wilmots’ team have advanced to the round of 16 as head of Group H -conceding only one goal- and will face Gurgen Klinsman’s USA who earlier lost to Germany but qualified as second team from Group G.
