• You know today we started to play once it was 0-1 and it wasn’t that simple. Yes, we gave up a goal, but we were able to get back the initiative, and «Spartak» didn’t have anything as an answer. A tie isn’t the worst result. Yes, we wanted to win but it’s not so bad. We are leading and our goal is to be champions.
— What was toughest today for «Zenit»?
• In the first half we weren’t playing so well. That’s a fact. On the other hand, although «Spartak» was pressing they didn’t have any good chances. In the beginning of the first half we had two good chances. If we had converted them, the game would have been different. But I’ll say again that a tie isn’t that bad. We will be champions.
