Oleg Shatov and Axel Witsel gave Zenit the first win for the Atlantic Cup over Danish side Brondy IF, earlier in Portugal.
The Russian fired a long range shot at the 33′ minute for the 1-0 while after an hour of game play, the Belgian controlled Danny’s chip in Brondby’s box and blasted a left foot shot for the 2-0.
The two goal lead remained until the end for Zenit, who face IFK Norrkoeping (who beat Lokomotiv Moscow on extra time) next on February 4th.
