AXEL WITSEL SCORES FIRST GOAL TO EARN TIANJIN QUANJIAN THEIR FIRST POINT

Tianjin Quanjian visited Shanghai to face Shenhua for the second matchday of the Chinese Super League.

Shenhua was left down to ten men  after Sheng Qin faced the red card at the 25′ minute but it was the home team who scored the first goal with Giovanni Moreno at the 75′ minute.

Tianjin didn’t give up and with Axel Witsel’s first goal in China, a left-footed volley resting on the back of Shanghai’s net, things were tied up five minutes before the end.

Pato had the chance to complete the comeback for Fabio Cannavaro’s team but missed his chance from the spot and the draw remained to the end, earning Quanjian their first point away from home.

Tianjin Quanjian face Henan Jianye at home for the first time on April 1st.
