BELGIUM DOUBLE HEADER BEFORE WORLD CUP IN BRAZIL

Marc Wilmot’s squad qualified for FIFA’s World Cup in Brazil as head of Group A, on 11 October 2013, after a 2-1 away win against Croatia, with two goals from Romelo Lukaku and assists from Steven Defour and Axel Witsel.

With Thibaut Courtois keeping six clean sheets, Axel’s solid performances and Kevin De Bruyne as the topscorer with four goals during the qualifications, the “Red Devils” now take on Falcao’s Columbia on 15 November and Kagawa’s Japan four days later, both games to be held at King Baudouin Stadium at 08.00 pm.

Belgium now is No5 in FIFA’s World Ranking (highest position) and prepare for their first appearance in a World Cup after 12 years, since the tournament in South Korea and Japan (2002).
