PATO’S LATE EQUALISER GIVES TIANJIN AWAY POINT

Second match day for Tianjin Quanjian found Axel Witsel’s team travelling to Japan, to face Kashiwa Reysol for the Asian Champions League Group E.

Home team had chances, possession and managed to break the deadlock after Cristiano’s volley goal at the 50′.

Reysol had the initiative and created more chances to double their lead as Tianjin was trying to counter attack and produce the equaliser and had a great keeper under their posts.

When it seemed Quanjian would leave empty handed, Pato stroke five minutes before the finale tying things up while seconds later Anthony Modeste was beaten on the tet-a-tet by Kashiwa keeper who prevented the total comeback from Sousa’s men.

Tianjin now sit on second place with 4 points as next opponent (March 6th – away) Jeonbuk FC from South Korea lead with 6.
